Message	Radar or laser is a VERIFICATION tool, cops visually estimate speed first. Even if the radar gun is going bonkers, if I visually see that you are going too fast I wills top you anyway. Radar guns do malfunction, they get "ghosting" (false readings when no one is there), "batching" (combining patrol and target speeds), and RFI (radio frequency interference), among other things. Newer guns are far less prone to these problems. WNY SCCA, BSP #75
